Session Abstract

This roundtable explores the terrain of conflict surrounding higher education, particularly as it affects the work of historians and the ways in which historians can step into the fray. Panelists will discuss the implications of “divisive concepts” legislation, attacks on tenure, challenges to university governance, and limitations on academic freedom. The conversation will explore the historical context of these issues and their implications for the future of higher education.
