Multispecific antibody-like molecules targeting growth factor receptor signaling pathways comprise a promising new class of anti-cancer agents. We use systems biology approaches to establish design characteristics for multivalent therapeutic agents. We use focused antibody engineering techniques to construct these molecules to have optimal avidities, affinities, and robust pharmaceutical properties. Application of these approaches to the discovery of a bispecific antibody-like molecule targeting two receptor tyrosine kinases will be presented.
