The main steps required in biogas processing are described shortly. Membrane gas permeation is employed to remove carbon dioxide from the biogas flow. Very low methane losses and relatively low energy consumption are achieved. The process is continuous, simple and easy to operate. A dynamic model (using CFD elements) was built to simulate the behavior of the process. The plant control and control parameters were developed and tested using this model. A plant that uses aforementioned concept is being built and will start its operation in July 2007. It will produce 100 [m³(STP)/h] of high quality biomethane and supply the neighboring natural gas grid. Extended Abstract Status: File Uploaded | ||
