Strano, Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Building 66, Cambridge, MA 02139 Single walled carbon nanotubes fluoresce from 900 to 1600 nm which is in the biological window where tissue absorption and scattering is minimized. This makes nanotubes uniquely suited for in vivo applications. We explore the suitability of using nanotube fluorescence for in vivo biosensing and imaging through biological tissue. Demonstrating the use of nanotube fluorescence in this way opens an avenue for new applications involving single walled carbon nanotubes. Extended Abstract Status: Not Uploaded | ||
