The emergences of nanotechnology opened up so many research areas and electrospun nanocompositefiber is a potential candidate that could be used as an efficient cellular scaffold. It is possible to fabricate functionally active nanofibers based on the end-use applications. In fermentation, magnetic nanoparticles play role to increase the rate of oxygen transport. The goal of this research is to fabricate biodegradable nanofibers embedded with magnetic nanoparticles. Nanofibers in the range of 300-500 nm embedded with magnetic nanoparticles have been fabricated successfully. These nanofibers have also been used in the fermentation process. The growth of yeast on the nanofibers has been examined and oxygen transport rate has been calculated. The results are then compared with a fermentation process without having nanofibers and magnetic nanoparticles. Significant improvements have been noticed which will be demonstrated in the final presentation.
