The CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT) has proved a valuable help to software developers ever since it was released in March 2007 after an extensive period of beta testing. Initially COLTT has implemented logging on all the CAPE-OPEN interfaces involved with Unit Operations and Thermodynamic components under version 1.0 of the CAPE-OPEN standards. The architecture given to COLTT will be described and explained.
Version 1.1 of the CAPE-OPEN Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification has been released by the CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network (CO-LaN) in October 2006. Commercial implementations of this version have already been released and more are planned.
CO-LaN has decided to extend the capabilities of COLTT in order to accompany the move to version 1.1 that a number of software vendors have decided to make. This has resulted in a new version of COLTT distributed to the CO-LaN membership. Examples of use of this new reelase of COLTT will be given.
The next development stages considered for COLTT will be listed.
