A number of biomass gasification systems are offered commercially on a world-wide basis. They vary greatly in their gasifier types and process characteristics. Gasifier types include moving bed (both non-slagging and slagging), fluid bed (bubbling, circulating and indirectly heated) and entrained-flow. Gas cleanup sections remove ammonia, tars and particulates to levels dependent upon the utilization of the product gas. This presentation will survey the commercial systems that are available.
