Template wetting nanofabrication, an novel nanofabrication technology, is utilized in this work to fabricate metallic nanostructures for fuel cell applicaitons. In particular, gold nanotubes are fabricated as a substrate for enzyme immobilization with an eye toward biofuel cell applicaitons. Platinum nanotubes are also fabricated and their catalytic activity evaluated for direct methanol and direct formic acid fuel cells.
