The classic work of Wei and Prater (Advances in Catalysis, 13, 203 (1962)) comprised a significant milestone in the modeling of complex reaction - kinetic networks. The implications of this elegant mathematical analysis on advancing the understanding diffusion and reaction in molecular sieves will be described.
