Hall 1 (Salt Palace Convention Center)
The presentation consists of *comparing terminal velocity and drag coefficient data from our experiments with literature correlations/theory for settling under no wall effects. *comparing data collected under strong wall effects with literature eqations. The non-spherical particles used include cubes, cones, ellipsoids, cylinders of different cross-sections and plates. The particle materials are metals, glass and plastics.Several liquids(including CMC solutions)and five glass columns are being used.
