Currently, global warming in climate change is a big problem in the world. Continuously increased global temperature can cause sea levels to rise by melting sea ice, expand deserts, and harm the ecosystem. One option to mitigate these climate change effect is to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. Especially, the carbon dioxide is important greenghouse gas, because most of human activities based on fossil fuels such as coal or gasoline, generates carbon dioxide. To reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, various methods are being studied. Among these, we tried to find to reuse the carbon dioxide as a raw material. If one can reuse carbon dioxide as valuable carbon source, improvement in enviromental and economic potential as well as reduction of carbon dioxide emission can be expected at the same time. From article survey, the stream reforming process is selected as the target process of process synthesis. Dry methane reforming (DMR) generates carbon monoxide and hydrogen by consuming carbon dioxide. Therefore, by adding an auxilary process of DMR, it is expected to reduce the carbon dioxide emission and increase the production efficiency. We compared this process alternative with original stream reformer and analyze the enviromental effect based carbon dioxide emission.
