Platinum (Pt)-based catalysts are among the most important materials in many fields, especially in the application of sensors and fuel cells. The catalytic ability of Pt is greatly dependent on its morphology. Herein, a novel Pt nanoflower structure on SWCNTs was synthesized by electrodeposition approach and characterized by FESEM and TEM. The crystallinity of the Pt nanoflower was investigated by HRTEM and XRD. Furthermore, the surface property of the material was explored by XPS. The as-prepared Pt nanoflower has shown uniform distribution and highly crystalline structure. The application of the Pt nanoflower in the glucose detection was demonstrated and the results exhibited good sensitivity, low detection limit, wide linear range, and the tolerance to interference.
