Appropriate Water Technology for the Developing World

Description:
Chemical engineers have a knowledge of engineering fundamentals that could be utilized for developing technologies to help those less fortunate. No where could these skills be better put to use than in the developing world for the treatment of water. This session seeks papers on the development and implementation of unique technologies for treating water in the developing world. Topics may include ceramic pot filters, sand filtration, charcoal, membranes, solar disinfection, solar distillation, and more.
