332252 Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane By Metal-Loaded Mesoporous Membranes
Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane By Metal-Loaded Mesoporous Membranes
Abstract:
The catalytic performance of V and/or Pd-containing high-surface mesoporous siliceous materials (TUD-1) membranes in oxidative dehydrogenation of propane is investigated. Catalysts were prepared by anchoring of mesoporous TUD-1 mesoporous silica on alumina tubes by hydrothermal synthesis procedures. Catalytic reactions were performed on automatic gas phase reactor purchased from PID, Spain. The reactions were followed by online GC analysis. The effect of TUD-1 texture and the nature of metal loaded on the catalytic performance of the membrane catalyst are explored. Prepared catalysts were characterized by XRF for determination of metal content, XRD, SEM and N2-adsorption for study of morphology and texture, and H2-TPR and DR UV–vis spectroscopy. All prepared materials were tested in propane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) at 550 ◦C and the obtained catalytic results were correlated with their structural and surface characteristics. Results obtained revealed that the structure of mesoporous silica support plays crucial role in propane ODH reaction. The catalytic performance of investigated materials in C3-ODH can be correlated with population of all tetrahedrally coordinated metals and only isolated monomeric MOx complexes, respectively.
