Energy shortage is one of global problem. Therefore energy-storage system is more important. In this study, microencapsulated phase change materials(MEPCMs) were prepared by membrane emulsification technique using the Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membrane. MEPCMs were obtained 5~6 μm-scaled paraffin particles by adding TEOS.Particle size analyzer (PSA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used for characterization of paraffin. In summary, MEPCMs which havehigh latent heat capacity can be used for energy storage system.
