This is an investigation of a novel method of using erythrocytes as carriers for the delivery of chemotherapeutics. Intravenously administered nanoparticle therapies are not optimally effective because nanoparticles have short circulation lives before being cleared from the bloodstream. By trapping chemotherapeutic nanoparticles in films coatings, we seek to prolong the release of the drug. A means of extending drug release and circulation time would alter the pharmacokinetics of the drug, potentially improving the efficacy of treatment with less frequent dose administration
