Contamination of soil and water in Mexico, due to oil spills, leaks clandestine milkings, by poor plumbing or accidents, is a problem with serious effects, since these impacted areas are no longer available for agricultural activities and become potential sources of groundwater contamination. Some fractions from crude oil have toxic and carcinogenic effects in animals and humans, so by removing them we can transform them into harmless compounds this is an important goal in the decontamination process. In the process of degradation, have found through the capacity of a microbiome, that were extracted from an agricultural soil site in southeastern Mexico contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, through bioremediation study. Water samples contaminated with commercial diesel and light oil with 30ºAPI were prepared. Samples were inoculated with growing microbiome, analyzing the concentration of hydrocarbons by gas chromatography (GC-FID), UV-vis and IR-ATR, microbial growth by plate count spectroscopy. degradation efficiencies 95% for water samples with oil and 98 contaminated% for water samples were obtained contaminated with diesel.
