Polyaniline (PANI)/ attapulgite, vermiculite and diatomite nanocomposites co-doped with hydrochloric acid (HCI) and ammonium persulfate (APS) were prepared by in-situ polymerization method. The existing of additive materials acted as the skeleton of PANI. The samples were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, BET, UV spectrophotometer and TGA. The results showed that the composites have the structure of attapulgite and the nature of the polyaniline. The composites doped with attapulgite, vermiculite and diatomite had even better adsorption capacity for acid gases such as CO2, SO2 and NO2 under the experimental conditions than that of PANI itself. Those composite materials have great potential on dealing with the fuel gas in thermal power industry and protecting environment.
