Microkinetic modeling was used to understand the mechanism of hydrogen oxidation for the {111} and {211} surfaces of transition metals, on SOFC anode and the effects of temperature were studied to understand the change in trends. TOF were calculated and Cu{111} was obtained as the best catalyst for low-temperature SOFC and RH {111} for high temperature. For the {211} case Pt was best at 673K whereas Cu had the highest reactivity at 1273K. MKM was successfully implemented for the analysis of hydrogen oxidation for SOFC anode
