TiO2 nanowires are one dimensional (1D) ceramic structures produced by a hydrothermal process.  Nanowires are thin strands having diameters in the range of about 10nm to about 500nm, and lengths of from a few microns to tens and even hundreds of microns.  They may have circular or ovoid cross-sections.

Membranes made by a wet laid process were studied for use in Western blotting applications.  Background fluorescence was found to be significantly lower than PVDF membranes, both dry and in buffer.  Protein adsorption results will be given
