Recently, there has been a vigorous study of carbon dioxide separation technologies around the world. In particular, the CO2 separation by using the membrane is being extensively studied for advantages over other approaches. So, in this study, POSS-PEG polymers were synthesized using polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane with high permeability and poly (ethylene glycol) with excellent CO2 selectivity. Then, the 1H-NMR spectrum and the FT-IR spectrum were used to check the success of the synthesis. The composite membrane was prepared by coating the PAN porous support with the synthesized polymer solution. To carry out the evaluation of the characteristics of the gas, the pilot module was produced for the gas permeability and the carbon dioxide transmittal characteristics were evaluated. In addition, POSS-PEG films were produced using solvent casting method and were used to assess its characteristics. The structure was analyzed by 1H-NMR and FTIR, and the thermal properties were evaluated by TGA and DSC. The gas transmission characteristics were evaluated using the Bubble Flowmeter to confirm CO2 separation performance.
