Eight Ensembles in Treatment of Statistical Thermodynamics Classical Systems
Tahir Cagin, Chemical Engineering, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX 77843

The conventional statistical treatment of classical fluids usually focuses on isothermal ensembles in studying the thermodynamic of these systems. In this talk, I will outline the classfication of classical thermodynamics systems and their interrelationship by presenting eight different statistical thermodynamic ensembles. I will also address thermodynamics observables including response functions and their relationships to the microscopic variables defining molecular level driving forces in physico-chemical processes.
