Nicos Martys, National Institute of Standards and Technology, 226, B114, Gaithersburg, MD 20899 and Stephen Treado, Building and Fire Research Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology, 226, B114, Gaithersburg, MD 20899.

This paper presents detailed modeling and measurement results of the movement of water-borne contaminants through flow systems containing obstructions and other obstacles. The effects of flow rate and geometry are evaluated, along with a discussion of the impact on contaminant removal. Results include flow visualizations and metrics.
