Travel back in time to the late 80s and early 90s and ask anyone about RAGAGEP. You would likely be met with a blank stare. That is because prior to 1992, RAGAGEP simply did not exist. When it made its first appearance in the PSM Standard, it was intended to be a catch all for safety practices not written down in design codes and industry consensus standards. Today, it is one of industry’s biggest compliance challenges.
Attendees will be given an overview of the evolution of RAGAGEP: how it came to be, how it is enforced by OSHA today, and what will be required for compliance tomorrow. In addition, attendees will be provided an explanation as to why OSHA interprets the acronym the way that it does and hints on how to defend against RAGAGEP citations. With this information, attendees will return to their sites better prepared to ensure compliance with RAGAGEP and help their facilities protect themselves from unwarranted RAGAGEP citations.
