Proper management of solid waste and resource recovery demonstrates circular economic principles when applied to organic waste processing in which organic materials reenter the environment safely as compost and renewable fuels. The challenge is to provide cost-effective and sustainable collection and processing solutions that recover organic waste and maximize the potential value of the recyclable feedstocks.
In his presentation, Jim will provide an overview of Organix Solutions’ Layered Approach for Waste Management and Energy Recovery. He will discuss producing engineered feedstock from waste materials, which has high energic value for commercial composting or anaerobic digestion for renewable energy, as well as emerging technologies that can efficiently divert a greater amount of the waste stream and how communities can increase organics recycling and work toward greenhouse gas reduction.
