Gesture, Performance, and Touch—Extending Community through the Legacy of Schneemann’s Kinetic, Collaborative Art

This talk examines contemporary queer communities as activated through the process of painting. I explore intimacy as a medium and art-making as a community-forming venture, and I consider how these qualities can be linked to Carolee Schneemann's vision of art-making.
