Biographical Sketch: Elizabeth Toohey is an Associate Professor of English at Queensborough Community College, CUNY, and a book critic for the global newspaper the Christian Science Monitor. Her specialty is post-9/11 film and fiction, and she has published several articles in journals and anthologies on this subject. She recently completed a residential fellowship at the Nieman Institute for Journalism at Harvard. She is currently at work on a book titled "Reporting from Queens: Why Our Students Need Journalism and Why Journalism Needs Our Students.
