Biographical Sketch: Salvador Herrera is a PhD student at the University of California, Los Angeles studying contemporary Latinx cultural production, including but not limited to literature, performance, music, and media. His proposed dissertation project focuses on how contemporary Latinx cultural producers sense systemic oppression and dream a world otherwise. He has written several articles for Synapsis: A Health Humanities Journal, and has a forthcoming article on race, cybernetics, and mediation in Intertexts: A Journal of Comparative and Theoretical Reflection.
