To have a better understanding of the phylogenetic relationship between several wild Glycine species, we applied a phylogenomic approach using transcriptomic data from 12 different accessions representing five wild Glycine species. RNAseq was done for 12 accessions of wild Glycine species followed by transcriptomic assembly to obtain mRNA contigs from each accession. We performed a reciprocal BLAST analysis to identify orthologous genes between soybean (Glycine max) and wild Glycine species. The analysis revealed 3,243 orthologous genes conserved across soybean and 12 wild Glycine accessions. To further assess the relationship between soybean and the 12 wild Glycine accessions we generated a phylogenetic tree using the supermatrix approach. A set of 562 orthologous genes was selected and used for tree reconstruction using RAxML and MrBayes. The tree shows the major grouping within the genus Glycine, subgenus Glycine and subgenus Soja. The results obtained in this study will be discussed in the poster.
