De Novo Genome projects of Exotic Creatures

Thanks to revolutionary advancements in sequencing technology, various non-model organisms are now within reach for genome-wide studies. This workshop will focus on the genome projects of exotic creatures, providing basic information on how these projects managed to achieve high-quality genome sequences (some are done with combined strategies of Illumina and PacBio), and we will further introduce exciting and unusual characteristics of these target species.
