Medicinal Plant Genomics

There is growing interest, particularly in Asia, in analysing plants used in traditional medicines particularly with respect to transitioning them from a wild harvested resource of limited capacity to a farmed resource of consistent quality. This workshop would allow researchers embarking on marker isolation, genomic sequencing and transcriptome characterisation of medicinal plants to learn from one another and catalyse the understanding of relevant biosynthetic pathways for medicinal plant bioactives.
