GDR (www.rosaceae.org) is a long standing community database resource for basic, translational and applied research in the diverse, economically and biologically important Rosaceae family. In the database genomic, genetic and breeding data are integrated in such a way that users can seamlessly access all the associated data from their entry point of interest.  In this presentation we provide specific data mining examples to highlight the latest database functionality. This includes browsing and searching the annotated genomes by gene function, identifying potentially common QTLs and underlying genes between species through synteny and pathway analysis and how these are linked to information about germplasm and breeding lines.
