Recently, the physical map of barley has been published together with extensive sequence resources. The highly integrated and complex structure of the underlying datasets is rather different from "pseudo-molecules" of published draft genome assemblies. Therefore, the intention of this workshop-like tutorial is to provide an overview of the publicly available datasets and give instructions to the barley as well as any other interested researcher how to access and work with the different kinds of information.
