Pathway Tools is a comprehensive system for inferring and curating biochemical pathway data. Written in Lisp, Pathway Tools allows ad-hoc queries to be formulated in that language. In this workshop, an overview of other languages will be given that can be used to interact computationally with the underlying Pathway Tools data structures. The Perl interface to Pathway Tools, PerlCyc, will be discussed in more detail, including an introduction to the API and code examples.
