The Citrus Genome Database (http://www.citrusgenomedb.org/) is a community resource for citrus genomics, genetics and breeding research. It contains annotated data of whole genome sequences of the haploid Citrus clementina (Clementine) and Citrus sinensis (sweet orange). It also contains searchable annotated EST databases and unigenes of three species, Citrus clementina, Citrus sinensis and Poncirus trifoliata.  The predicted genes of the whole genome sequences and the unigenes are annotated by homology to genes in other species, InterPro protein domains, GO terms and KEGG pathway terms, providing a glimpse of the pathways and traits in which they are involved. The annotated sequence data can be browsed through species pages or queried using various categories in the search sites. The whole genome sequences can also be accessed through GBrowse, a graphic genome browser and genes are mapped n the CitrusCyc pathway. Curation efforts for the genetic data are underway and some genetic maps are available through CMap, the comparative map viewer. We report on current and future functionality.
