Strategies For Leveraging Bioinformatics and Genomic Data to Advance Food Security

Addressing the challenge of providing sufficient and nutritious food to the world’s growing population, while conserving the environment and helping farmers adapt to the impacts of climate change, will require unprecedented increases in agricultural production and productivity in the next 40 years. This symposium will outline current approaches in bioinformatics and data management to help address challenges in food security. Presentations will highlight the latest developments in genomics, advanced molecular tools, and platforms in the context of international development efforts.
