Opgen - New Strategies for Reference Genome Assembly

OpGen’s Whole Genome Mapping technology, combined with Genome-Builder™ software, provides a solution for high accuracy assembly of reference genomes. An overview of the technology and its applications will serve as a foundation for following in-depth discussions of recent plant and animal genome projects. OpGen customers will discuss the challenges presented within their project scope and how new strategies, using OpGen’s Genome-Builder™ platform to join scaffolds, improved their assembly. The assembly data will be compared to the assembly data of traditional approaches to show how Genome-Builder can reduce the amount of time and expense required for sequence assembly of plant, animal and other large genomes.
