Intact Genomics Inc: The Unbiased BAC Library Resource for Wide-Range Genomics and Discovery Applications

Traditionally BAC libraries built by restriction partial digestion are inherently biased which cause some importance information missing and genomic gaps in sequence. To bridge the gaps, completely cover interested-target genomic regions, finish genomes, or obtain the highest quality of genome sequencing assemblies, novel technologies are needed, especially in today’s next-gen sequencing applications with massively parallel short-reads.  We have successfully developed and continuously optimize novel technologies for unbiased large DNA isolation, purification, manipulation and Random Shear BAC cloning. Intact Genomics Inc. is the only worldwide provider of the high-quality, unbiased Random Shear BAC libraries by collaboration with Lucigen Corporation. We have also demonstrated broad applications of unbiased BAC libraries in genome studies and discoveries in plants, animals, microbes, and environmental metagenomes.
