The National Avian Research Facility (NARF) is comprised of a diverse portfolio of resources and expertise with the aim of advancing science in avian models. We intend to provide the avian research community with a wealth of research tools from biological specimens to informational archives.

The NARF database makes up the information aspect of our resources but is also highly integrated with our biological and chemical services. The NARF database is intended to serve as a starting point for research in avian genomics and biology. With this philosophy in mind, our website is developed to contain all relevant information for avian research within a well-organized and intuitive layout for ease of use.

The data provided will be both in the form of links to other relevant database as well as our own in house genomic information attained from NARF collaborators. Our database will include genomic variation data on chicken breeds that we are maintaining for use by the greater research community. By integrating different areas and resources of avian science, NARF aims to increase the quality of research within avian models on a global scale.
