Vascular wilt caused by Ceratocystis fimbriata , is one of the diseases with the greatest impact for Brazilian eucalyptus wood production. The disease began in first year of the tree in the field, it is a lethal disease whose pathogen infects vascular tissues, promoting discoloration of the wood which leads to plant death. Initially restricted to a single clone in Southern Bahia, but recently has been recorded in various clones and  seed plants in other regions. This work aims to use the AFLP marker (Vos et.al. , 1995) using the technique of segregating analysis grouped BSA ( Michelmore et.al., 1991 ) to search the genome of the species-specific DNA sequences and from these , to produce primers that allow identifying the resistance character at any stage of plant development. Two bulks were prepared, one with 6 resistant plants and other with 5 susceptible plants. The DNA of plants were extracted and digested using two restriction enzymes, one frequent cutting (MseI ) and a rare cutting (EcoRI ) followed by binding of adapters. The preamplification and selective amplification were carried out to test 47 combinations of primers and 436 fragments, which were visualized on 6% polyacrylamide gel stained with silver nitrate (Creste et.al. , 2001). The total fragment observed three amplified and exhibited polymorphism between the bulks of interest. Given this new reactions were performed using the DNA individually to verify the presence of the band, or not, for both bulks.
