We have been using the CLC Genomics Workbench as part of our workflow on whole eukaryotic genome sequencing for the past five years. Our projects include the genomes of several oomycetes, the alga Chlorella, the biofuel stramenopile Nannochloropsis, the crustacean Daphnia, the moss Physcomitrella, the butterfly Danaus, the glaucophyte Cyanophora, the fish Xiphophorus, and the snail Potamopyrgus, as well as many sequencing projects for transcriptomes and plastid genomes and for evaluating gene expression patterns. I will discuss some of the most useful features of the CLC Genomics Workbench and the ways that they have been integral to scientific discovery for our projects.
