Research and Development: external collaborations and upcoming new features

CLC bio, a QIAGEN company, is involved in a number of external collaborations with academic and industry partners. Microbial Genome Finishing Module is an example of a product that was developed in such collaboration and is now available generally since last year.

We have >10 active research projects, and a brief summary of their objectives and achievements up to date for some of them will be presented. These will include our -omics projects like STATegra and 4DCellFate; clinical diagnostics and forensics ones PathSeek, MiSAFE and Metagenome (MG) kit, and the potato genome resequencing MASPOT II; our collaboration on ash tree genome assembly will have been presented in this session. Some of the features and functionalities that we expect to come out soon from these developments will be discussed.

We will also share our "Sample to Insight" vision for a solution that can be applied in a production setting for plant and animal breeding, which recognises increasing shift to sequencing as a way to evaluate production germplasm in agribusiness.
