The Bellwether Foundation phenotyping facility at the Danforth Center comprises a custom controlled environment Conviron growth house, fully integrated with a LemnaTec Scanalyzer 3D imaging platform.  The growth house contains a conveyor belt system that can handle up to 1140 small or medium sized plants and 5 precision watering and weighing stations.  The LemnaTec Scanalyzer 3D platform consists of multiple digital imaging chambers, including RGB (human visible spectrum), NIR (near infrared spectrum) and fluorescent. We will discuss our experiments using this facility to study drought responses in the model grass Setaria viridis and its domesticated relative Setaria italica.
