Cercospora Leaf Spot (CLS) caused by Cercospora beticola sacc.is one of the most destructive foliar diseases of sugar beet. However, the genetic model of CLS resistant was explained by quantitative trait loci in many studies. It was necessary that long term selection to making resistant variety. Therefore, the identification of molecular markers associated to CLS resistance would be desirable tool for developing resistant varieties. The aim of this study was the identification of useful DNA markers for the CLS resistant source NK-310mm-O. We conducted QTL analysis for both RILs and NILs population that was scored for CLS resistance under artificial inoculation method. As a result, we detected two useful resistant QTLs from NK-310mm-O source. Then, some SNPs were genotyped on associated CLS resistance with our breeding core collection. One of the SNP was significantly associated with CLS resistant on Chr IX. We conclude this SNP would be a valuable DNA marker for improvement of CLS resistance selection.
