QTL Data Standards at PeanutBase and LegumeInfo

QTL data are complex, difficult to collect, and highly variable in presentation at database websites. At PeanutBase and LegumeInfo, we are developing standard collection templates based on the MIQAS standard, data loaders, and a Tripal module for the collection, curation, loading, and display of QTL data. For the standard data collection spreadsheet, we are working with other plant database websites to create a template that can be broadly used whether or not the websites use the Chado for their database or Tripal for their web interface. We are also addressing the difficulty of loading QTL data into Chado. The Tripal QTL module will be made available to the Tripal user community.
