High quality reference genomes are available for over 50 plant species and more are following soon. In combination with the decreasing sequencing cost, large scale re-sequencing of wild and elite material has become common practice. Until recently, capturing the value of this variation data was a challenge. KeyGene’s MultiVariome Analysis provides you a perfect overview of variation distribution and abundance in your crop of interest enabling you to further study the breeding history of your elite material or effectively screen for unexploited variation in wild material. We describe the KeyGene MultiVariome Analysis consisting of efficient, robust and scalable methods to detect genome wide variation and present this variation in a meaningful way. MultiVariome Analysis methods focus on different variation types like SNPs, indels and CNV’s detected from one or multiple NGS libraries. By annotation of the vast amount of variants and providing effective query tools we enable the discovery of variation that matters. MultiVariome Analysis results will be provided in standard data formats suitable for multiple downstream applications and could optionally be integrated in a <Crop>Pedia. This encyclopedia, build by KeyGene, can be used at your facilities and enables efficient marker design and gene research against the background of the discovered variation, already incorporated public data and proprietary data that you can add privately.
