Araport (https://www.araport.org) is a platform hosting the genome sequence and data sets of the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana. Araport serves as a information portal for the research community to receive, develop and release accesses to Arabidopsis data. Currently Araport implements ThaleMine and JBrowse to expose curated data from TAIR, GO, BAR, EBI, UniProt, PubMed and EPIC CoGe. The data can be perceived as a report page or visualized on a genome browser. In addition to data display, Araport further provides modules for users to explore user-provided data sets. In ThaleMine, users can upload a list of genes and retrieve expression information from user-selected developmental stage or growth condition. JBrowse enables users to visualize raw RNAseq alignment to annotated Arabidopsis genome by uploading indexed BAM data files. In this workshop, I will provide a overview of data, tools, and services that Araport provides, and walk through some basic and advanced functionalities of Araport.
