Equine Oral Samples Collected and Stabilized with Performagene™ Are a Reliable Source of DNA for SNP Genotyping on the Illumina® EquineSNP70 Beadchip

Using VHL Genetics® automated extraction platform, high quantity DNA was extracted from Performagene™ oral samples and produced successful genotyping results on the Illumina® EquineSNP70 Beadchip as determined by high call rates. Samples were collected from 48 horses of varying breeds across 4 different farms in Ontario, Canada.
