QuantiGene® Plex Assay for Ag: From Benchtop to Fields

The QuantiGene® Plex Assay is a hybridization- based platform from Affymetrix which utilizes branched DNA signal amplification in combination with xMAP ® (multi-analyte profiling) beads from Luminex ®.  The assay can be used for either DNA or RNA targets and accepts input of either purified nucleic acids or crude tissue lysates.  This technology has various applications that can be used throughout the product pipeline from discovery through launch.  Recent publications from Monsanto will be discussed which have utilized this technology.
