Over the last decade, an impressive collection of on-line resources has developed to serve researchers working on legume biology. Increasingly, website developers are developing software tools that can be adopted by other groups - which makes data at multiple sites more accessible across the various sites, and makes interfaces more familiar across sites. This talk will highlight several websites for legume research, including the cross-cutting "Legume Federation" NSF project to foster data standards, distributed development, and comparative analysis to support research across the legume family (http://legumefederation.org), the Legume Information System (http://legumeinfo.org), KnowPulse (http://knowpulse.usask.ca), the Cool Season Food Legume Database (http://www.coolseasonfoodlegume.org), MedicagoGenome (http://medicagogenome.org), Climate Resilient Chickpea Lab (http://chickpealab.ucdavis.edu), Alfalfa Genomics Network (http://www.alfalfa-genome.org), LotusBase (https://lotus.au.dk), and LegumeBase (https://www.legumebase.brc.miyazaki-u.ac.jp). Some new tools highlighted in this presentation include several legume InterMines, http://legumefederation.org/tools, a new BLAST interface available at several sites, a context viewer that shows gene-scale and chromosome-scale synteny, a new transcriptome/gene annotation service, and a new “data store” for bulk download of legume data sets.
